After its widespread and effective implementation, Access4All (Awareness and Capacity Building for Changes in Policy Schemes for Disability towards Inclusive Societies) completed.

The final conference, which was organized under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens, took place in Athens and more specifically at Serafio (19 Echelidon & 144 Piraeus) on October 13, 2022. Before the conclusion of the programme, all partner countries organised online and/or face-to-face seminars for stakeholders and interested parties. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the programme’s themes and to register and use the Access4All digital training platform.
The conference was attended by professionals, representatives from both public and private institutions and stakeholders, who were informed about the programme and shared valuable information on accessibility for people with disabilities.
The conference was divided into two themes. In the first part, the project partners presented parts of the project deliverables. In addition, Ms Dimitra Sitareniou – coordinator of European programmes of XENIOS POLIS presented her speech on “European funded programmes and inclusive societies”.
The second part was about good practices for accessibility applied in Greek society. The first speech belonged to the Deputy Mayor of Social Solidarity & Civil Society of the Municipality of Athens, Ms. Ekaterini Gagaki, on “The accessibility policy of the Municipality of Athens”. This was followed by the speeches of Ms. Kalliopi Gika, representative of the Tactual Museum of the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece and Ms. Niki Chatzihalepli, social worker and Deputy Head of a school unit of Secondary Education.
The conference was transmitted via live streaming giving the opportunity to those who could not attend the conference in person.
